Portland Thorns FC and the 107 Independent Supporters’ Trust announced today they had agreed to a four-year deal for the non-profit to become the club’s kit sponsor – the first major sponsorship agreement in Portland Thorns’ history. The agreement, which starts in April 2013 and runs through to the end of the 2017 season, will see the Independent Supporters’ Trust name and logo appear on the Thorns’ jersey.

Officials at the 107 Independent Supporters’ Trust remarked,” This partnership makes a lot of sense for the 107ist. We support soccer in and around Portland, Oregon, from the grassroots to the highest professional level, so when we saw the Thorns play their pre-season match in ordinary t-shirts, we knew we had to do something.”

Per NWSL and club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
